Hat's Off to Marston's
Please join us for "Hats Off to Marston's," on Sunday, September 23 at the Marston House Museum's south terrace, when we'll highlight vintage hats from Marston's Department Store and a captivating collection of new designs with you in mind. This event will provide pleasant entertainment and great shopping opportunities as well from 11am to 1pm.
First, you'll see a fashion show of some of the vintage hats Save Our Heritage Organisation has recently acquired. Our enthusiastic team of volunteer docents will model the hats narrated by Diana Cavagnaro, internationally renowned couture milliner.
Then we will present a trunk sale with contemporary hats and scarves coordinated by Lea Goldman, a veteran stylist and fashionista extraordinaire! She can help you find just the right hat. And Lea will share some great pointers on interesting ways to tie scarves for the best effect. This trunk show will be a great opportunity to enhance your own wardrobe and get a head start on your holiday gift list. So do come ready to shop.
And there's more. We'll serve plentiful, refreshing mimosas and delicious light refreshments. As a bonus gift, all guests will receive a complimentary mimosa glass bearing the Marston House logo as a memento of the day. In addition, a half-off coupon for a house tour will be available.
