40N˚ kicks off their 2018 Dance Film Festival with a pre-screening reception with DJ, Sarah Hankins (UCSD). Meet filmmakers and festival directors before the screening. Beginning at 7:30 pm, Experimental Portraiture – which features film works ranging from narrative to experimental – addresses the introspective complexities of intimacy, identity, and memory through the lens of visual memoir. Screening will be followed by a short moderated Q&A with filmmakers present and the audience (15-30 min).
