New Menus Launch
Mission Avenue Bar and Grill, Oceanside, is revamping all three of its menus on Sept. 4, thanks to the creativity of young gun chef William Eick. Brunch? Think: Fried chicken eggs benedict, truffled deviled egg salad tostada with crab and hollandaise; and short rib with sunny egg, cashew butter, cashews, green onion, Thai chili, rice and tare. Lunch and dinner? Items to try: shrimp pot pie; crab cake tostada with jalapeño, cilantro and radish; and a meaty tomato tartine with pork pâté, bacon-tomato jam and microgreens. Taco Tuesday? New items still in the works. Each of these original dishes was brought to life by the brilliant cooking styles of Chef William Eick, a master at his own craft of globally-infused American cuisine at this unexpected neighborhood eatery and beach bar with over 100 whiskeys, hand-poured drinks, cocktails on tap and all California, smaller-batch brews.
