Peruvian Ceviche & Wine Tasting
Join Celebrity Chef Emmanuel Piqueras and Chef Alfie Szeprethy for an educational afternoon discovering the flavors of Peru and the history of South America through food and drink during the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival. A presentation and tasting of three distinct ceviches will guide diners through the history of South America and ingredients. Starting with a ceviche prepared in the pre-Incan style (300-1200 BC), followed by a style that notes the arrival of Spanish conquistadores who brought limes, garlic and onions to South America, and finishing with a Nikkei ceviche that celebrates Japanese influence on the country of Peru, each delectable course will be paired with a South American wine.
