American Heritage Car Show
The American Heritage Car Show is one of the nicest car shows anywhere. Over 200 gorgeous vehicles will be parked on the lawn in downtown Escondido’s Grape Day Park for your viewing pleasure. Local new car dealers, including Toyota of Escondido, sponsor this annual event. The sponsoring dealers will be on site with new cars too. So whether you love old cars, or want to check out the latest innovations in new cars, or just want to spend the day in a beautiful park, the American Heritage Car Show is for you. In addition to the beautiful cars, a DJ spinning “golden oldies” and tours of the Escondido History Center really bring the heritage to this all American car show. The History Center’s museum includes a working blacksmith shop where classes are taught, 1888 train depot filled with photographs and exhibits, a Victorian house and a railroad car with an H-O scale model train inside. The American Heritage Car Show kicks off the morning with a delicious pancake breakfast cooked up by local Kiwanians. Vendors, a raffle, a Beer Garden and a wonderful award ceremony are all part of the fun. The Car Show is organized by and benefits the Escondido History Center. Spectators are always free at this family friendly event. Vehicle entry fee is $25. For more information call 760 743-8207,
