Comics in San Diego: Ted Adams & Guests
Traveling Stories and Eco Caters’ inaugural event, Comics in San Diego, will engage the community in conversation about the cultural and economic impact of comics on San Diego. Tickets are $30. They are limited and likely to sell out. Event proceeds will benefit Traveling Stories, a nonprofit that helps kids fall in love with reading by the 4th grade.
Entry to Comics in San Diego will include:
A talk by Ted Adams, Founder and CEO of IDW Publishing
A moderated Q&A with Colleen Anderson, General Manager at Omni San Diego Hotel, Rob Schupp, Director of Marketing & Communications at MTS, Adam Smith, Executive Director of the Comic-Con Center for Popular Culture at Balboa Park (opening 2019), and Tom Waltz, Senior Staff Writer/Editor at IDW, to talk about their roles and the impact of comics on their respective companies.
Live performance by Violet Rose, a pop-electronic artist embodying visual and aural beauty.
Networking over complimentary appetizers and tastings. (Additional beverages will be available for purchase)
