Pilot Talk: 31 Years Flying the A-4 Skyhawk
Fighter pilot Major General Bob Butcher (USMC-retired) will discuss his experiences and changes to the airplane, the squadron mission and the training of pilots flying the A4. MajGen Butcher, a Marine aviator with worldwide service; is the recipient of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross and 15 air medals. June 16th, 2018 at 11AM-12PM. See 31 historical aircraft up close at the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum as well as hundreds of artifacts from the earliest days of aviation to the present day. Free admission and parking. The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum is aboard Marine Corps Air Station-Miramar. The sentry-free museum entrance is on Miramar Rd., 3.9 miles east of I-805 and 1.3 miles west of I-15.
