Extended School Partnership Showcase
1100 and 1001 Kettner Boulevard, San Diego, 92101
Cost: Free
The Extended School Partnership (program invites teachers and students from schools across San Diego County to consider the museum as an extension of their classroom by integrating the arts into core curriculum studies. Each school and cohort of teachers works together with museum educators to develop a curriculum that uses contemporary art and exhibitions on view as a catalyst for both creative thinking and making.
This fall, students from Charter School of San Diego were invited to explore the exhibition Memories of Underdevelopment: Art and the Decolonial Turn in Latin America, 1960-1985. Students created original works of art in response to the processes, materials, and themes used by the artists in the exhibition.
