Beginning Oil Painting

Cost: $99
Learn about painting materials, lighting, paint thinner, blending paint, contrast, sketching, the underpainting and basic color theory. Students will also study oil painting exercises that cover color and form, distance and texture, basic forms and color value scale through painting from photos and still life. This three-part class will move at each individual student’s pace and skill. By the end of the course, the student will have a basic understanding of oil painting and will be ready to move on the next step in the joy of painting. Sundays, 10:00am-1:30pm.
