Documentary Discussions: The Honey Badger
7555 Draper Avenue, San Diego, 92037
Cost: Free
“This is the honey badger. Watch it run in slow motion. It’s pretty bad ass.” With those words (Randall’s narration over a PBS documentary), an internet sensation was born, with over 84 million views on YouTube to date. As we now know, the honey badger one of the most fearless animals in the world, renowned for its ability to confront grown lions and shrug off stinging bees, scorpions, and snakes.
In Honey Badgers: Masters of Mayhem we follow a team of researchers in South Africa, searching for the truth behind the honey badger. Documentary Discussions is a new recurring program at the La Jolla/Riford Library featuring a documentary viewing followed by a discussion.
