The stage for Tempest Theatre's monologue is alomst bare, a simple table, typewriter, and two chair. Kylie Maree plays a woman named Mollie who lived a lonely life with her rather stifling family. While she always wanted to be a writer, she trained as a nurse and, over the course of several years, meets a woman for whom she feels true, but unconsummated, love. She also has a long-standing correspondence with the writer, D.H. Lawrence. Maree makes it all flow effortlessly and draws in her audience with genuine sincerity. A nice touch are the recorded voice-overs of excerpts from Lawrence's letters. A simple story of loss and despair eloquently told. A Must.
