Fermented Pairings Series Vol. 18: Aging Cheese
Aging Cheese Featuring Smallgoods Cheese and Provisions Smallgoods Cheese and Provisions is joining White Labs for another round of fermentation and cheese, mixed into educational pairings. White Labs Education & Engagement Curator Erik Fowler is teaming up with La Jolla's Smallgoods Cheese and Provisions and American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional Jenny Eastwood for an hour and a half educational pairings event that explores how cheese ages. The duo will provide side-by-side comparisons of fresh versus aged cheeses, such as a young chevre goat cheese alongside an aged cow's milk cheese. In sampling these pairings, guests will experience how the aging process impacts the flavor, aroma and texture of Smallgoods artisanal, American-produced cheeses. Enjoy a medley of cheeses and meats uniquely paired with five White Labs beers.
