At any given time Skyhunters is responsible for more than 20 non-releasable raptors, including various hawk and owl species, and they work with as many as 300 rehabbed raptors every year. The facilities at Skyhunters includes a 70-foot flight cage that all of the flighted birds use for conditioning.
At this event you can see some of these birds of prey up close. Presentation by Nancy Conney, program director, who says she also has a personal collection of colorful and noisy parrots, cockatoos, and macaws at home.
