The Larry Himmel Neightborhood Foundation will be at Free Flight to provide a check in support of veterinary expenses in 2017. The fundraiser is 1/26 through 2/26: individuals are welcome to donate now at larryhimmelfoundation.org/freeflight -- they will then be able to attend the event for free.
Free Flight is a small non-profit 501(c)(3) parrot sanctuary nestled in Del Mar, down the street from the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Free Flight shelters 50 parrots. Some are up for adoption while others, due to advanced age and health problems, will live their lives out there. Medium to large parrots can live 80 years.
