The Senior Anglers of Escondido will welcome local tackle manufacturer, Chad Gierlich, owner of San Diego-based Hookup Baits. The company, less than a year old, is already well known for its handcrafted lures, jigs, and worm heads. The company also has posted on YouTube, numerous instructional videos about local fishing. Gierlich will share at the club’s February 10 meeting, open to anglers age 50 and above. Meetings are held the second Friday of each month at the Park Avenue Community Center
Members of the club enjoy local surf and freshwater fishing, summer saltwater charters, RV camping, and community service to help kids go fishing.
