Roddey Reid: Confronting Political Intimidation
Conversation with Professor Emeritus Roddey Reid about his new book, Confronting Political Intimidation and Public Bullying: A Citizen's Handbook for the Trump Era and Beyond. Since the kick-off in 2015 of the last presidential campaign, a climate of fear and intimidation has dominated national life in the United States to a degree rarely seen before, poisoning our politics and reaching into our personal relationships. Professor Reid will review the strategies and dynamics of contemporary political intimidation: their history, how they work, the dangers they present, and the lessons to be learned. He is member of the San Francisco chapter of new activist group indivisible.org that has 5800 chapters nationwide. UCSD Literature Building, Room 155 (de Certeau Room).
