Broadway Limited
A 1941 screwball comedy from the famed Hal Roach studios with Victor McLaglen, Dennis O'Keefe, and Marjorie Woodworth. Most of the film is shot on board this fictional streamliner. So for those who would like to reminisce about the days of long distance train travel in the golden era of the streamliners or have never been and would like to experience what it was like, this is a must see. For railroad fans, the best scenes in the picture are those showing the Pennsylvania Railroad trains, equipment, and the pacing shots.
As a ploy to gain publicity, a motion picture director wants his star actress to take a baby with her on a train trip. The presence of the baby causes a series of misunderstandings, but the real problems begin when the engineer begins to suspect that the baby may have been kidnapped. Also a short news reel from 1933 called Rhapsody of the Rails.
