A rising creative force on the Southern California jazz scene, San Diego pianist/composer Danny Green has distinguished himself with his touch and affinity for combining elements of jazz, Brazilian, and classical music. The Danny Green Trio + Strings project revolves around Danny’s original compositions arranged for his trio (with bassist Justin Grinnell and drummer Julien Cantelm) plus strings. It includes members of the San Diego Symphony performing on violin, viola and cello. The ensemble has performed at a number of venues in San Diego including a live radio broadcast on KSDS Jazz 88.3’s Jazz Live.
