Poet Billy Collins and poet/short story writer Raymond Carver have influenced many a 21st Century writer with their poems and stories that seem so easy to write, but are as complex and considered as the old masters. The acclaim for these two writers is not for nothing. In this workshop, we’ll focus on the poetry of both Collins and Carver to see how they do what they do. You’ll have time in class to try your hand at poetry that could win its own awards as you work to find just the right words and intention for your poems. Class limit of eight people.
