Alexander Nemerov, the Marilyn Thoma Provostial Professor in the Arts and Humanities at Stanford University, explores the different views of America behind the maker of quaint American scenes and the author of The Lottery who were both residents of Bennington, Vermont. Nemerov, himself a Bennington native, explores the relation between the two masters. Event takes place in the Humanities Center in Serra Hall, Room #200.
