Every four years, the Kyoto Prize Laureates arrive in San Diego for a symposium celebrating their achievements in science, technology, and the arts. Each honoree has an opportunity to share their knowledge with the community.
This year, the Kyoto Prize Symposium and University of San Diego showcase John Neumeier, the 2015 Kyoto Prize Laureate in Arts and Philosophy, in a rare U.S appearance. This lecture/demonstration will feature four principal dancers of Germany’s internationally recognized Hamburg Ballet and will feature insight from Neumeier about his choreographic approach to 20th-century ballet.
