Luso-American Education Conference
5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, 92182
Cost: Free
As the conference's 40th year, it is returning to where it began, San Diego, to showcase the Portuguese Community in San Diego with local and outside participants. We are expecting to welcome a variety of Portuguese attendees from not only California but also the East Coast and overseas.
The purpose of the conference is to support the teaching of Portuguese as a language and culture. Following this tradition, the settings are both academic and community based for all ages. As such, the event is co-organized with an academic unit, which will be the San Diego State University Portuguese Program and members of the local Luso-American community. Sponsored by the J. Keith Behner and Catherine M. Stiefel Program on Brazil.
