Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off
Celebrate 50 years of the Ocean Beach Pier at the 37th annual event. Join more than 70,000 visitors for an oceanfront chili cook-off, five stages of continuous live music and entertainment, a community mural project, Artists Alley, carnival rides and games, food and vendor booths, and a beachside beer garden.
The Hodad’s Burger-Eating Competition will offer contestants a chance to be featured on the Hodad’s Wall of Fame in Ocean Beach. The chili competition features more than two dozen tastings from amateur entrants competing for the titles of Hottest Chili, Judges’ Award, and the grand prize: People’s Choice Award. Tastings can be purchased for $2 per chili entry, or attendees can buy a master ticket to try every recipe for $20.
Free trolley services run from the Knights of Columbus parking lot on Bacon Street and the parking lot at the intersection of Sea World Drive and Pacific Coast Highway.
