Baja Kitchen Dinner
A farm-to-table culinary experience presented by six of Baja California’s leading chefs. Held at Rancho La Puerta's La Cocina Que Canta cooking school on a six-acre organic farm, the six-course meal will be paired with Valle de Guadalupe wines, regional craft beer, and includes a live mariachi band.
Troy Johnson, San Diego food writer and critic, hosts the evening, which includes culinary demonstrations showcasing the Baja region’s recipes and ingredients. In addition to Rancho La Puerta and La Cocina Que Canta’s executive chef Denise Roa, chefs include: Ryan Steyn, chef of El Jardin de Adobe Restaurant and owner of El Clavo Madera 5 and The Cook-Book; Culinary School in Ensenada's Chad White, chef and partner of Común Kitchen & Tavern in San Diego; La Justina in Tijuana Mariela Manzano, head chef and owner of El Lugar de Nos in Tecate Martin San Roman; chef and owner of La Terrasse San Roman in Valle de Guadalupe; and La Rotisserie San Roman in Tijuana Drew Deckman, owner and Michelin Star Chef of Deckman's en el Mogor in Valle de Guadalupe.
