Art of Music
The Museum’s third installment of The Art of Music concert series is being held in conjunction with Balboa Park’s Centennial Celebration, and as a precursor to the Museum’s Art of Music exhibition, which will explore the relationship between visual and music arts and open this fall.
The third concert in the monthly series takes place in the James S. Copely Auditorium. Grammy Award-winning soprano Susan Narucki and San Diego pianist and composer Stephen Lewis will examine the 20 th Century’s range of expression in works for voice and piano, exploring songs that test the limits of the genre. Narucki has quite a resume, having performed as a soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, MET Chamber Ensemble, the Philharmonia, and at Carnegie Hall, to name a few.
