Monarch | Arredon Contemporary presents painter George Yepes in his first solo exhibition at the gallery. Selected works representing his 40-year career make up this curated exhibition. We invite you to join us for a wine reception and an opportunity to meet this iconic artist.
Yepes has a style and treatment of painting in a monumental format that calls upon classical master works by Tiepolo and Rubens for inspiration. His contemporary hybrid portraits blend Mexican, American, and European art histories, methodologies, and archetypal forms.
