Oceanside Beach Fest and Surf Contest

The Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club hosts the 31st Annual Beach Fest and 15th Annual Guy Takayama Surf Contest.
The beach fest features food and swag vendors and live music Friday through Sunday. Free for spectators. Bands include Little Monsters, Millionaire Beach Bums, and Sol Remedy.
With two surfing competitions, Open Pro and Noserider, each limited to 32 spots. Each has a $125 entry fee, with a $5000 purse paid to the top 8 finishers. The competitions are on August 7 and 8 at the south side of Oceanside Pier.
