Begin Lent with Ash Wednesday worship -- Holy Communion (open to all), disposition of ashes, and a Lenten message by Pastor Craig Brown.
Stay for a Lenten meal at 6:30 catered by Souplantation ($10) and a presentation by our guest speaker, the Rev. Dr. Cedrick Bridgeforth, on the "Spirituality of the Cross."
Dr. Bridgeforth will address the significance of the cross as it relates to Christian spirituality especially within the context of the African-American community.
