Center Chorale: Carmina Burana
The Center Chorale's 50-voice choral ensemble is conducted by Joe Stanford. Dr. Stanford is the past chair of the Palomar College Performing Arts Department and led the Palomar Chorale for most of his 37 years at the college.
The Center Chorale offers a series of seven concerts this season, with acclaimed guests artists and creative programming, including concerts by the Center Children’s Chorale.
Carmina Burana is Carl Orff's most widely recognized music. It is quoted extensively in TV commercials and known throughout the world. This performance by the Center Chorale with soprano, bass and tenor soloists, accompanied by two pianos and percussion, is one of the highlights of the Chorale's season.
