Cooking with Cast Iron Pans
960 Rancheros Drive, Suite L, San Marcos, 92069
Cost: $25
Cast iron pans are the original non-stick cooking vessels and the most versatile tool in the kitchen.
You can cook and bake in them, they maintain precise heat, and they are considered by chefs to be a precision instrument. Cast iron will last several lifetimes if properly cared for.
Join executive chef Arleen Lloyd for a morning of cast-iron education. You'll learn which pans are a must for your kitchen, how to clean, season, maintain, and store the pans, why some pans are enameled, and how to properly cook and bake with the pans.
Bring your cast iron pan if you have one, an apron, a chefs' knife, and wear closed-toe shoes.
