Resilient San Diego and a Platform for Other Cities
Global Classroom: Building Resilient Cities: Resilient San Diego and a Platform for Other Cities.
The San Diego region has six risks from climate change events: drought, wildfires, sea-level rise, flooding, mass movement, and extreme temperatures. Three of these are likely, costly, and can be lethal: drought, wildfires, and extreme temperatures.
We invite you to join us for a summer evening series presented by the World Resources SimCenter in partnership with the World Affairs Council, United Nations Association, The Equinox Center, and the SDSU Geography Department.
The Building Resilient Cities summer series has dug into the challenging question: Are we prepared for the consequences of climate change in our region? Being resilient requires us to prepare, adapt, and respond quickly to the potential risks we face.
