Art + Community Series: State of the Arts
First Tuesday, Art + Community Series: State of the Arts in North County San Diego.
OMA is launching a new educational program, Art + Community Series, moderated by OMA executive director Daniel Foster. These regular panels and lectures will discuss the power of art to transform the economic prosperity, quality of life, and identity of a community.
Find out how the art scene in North County San Diego is gaining momentum with increased partnerships and collaborations between like-minded institutions at “State of the Arts in North County San Diego.” Join us for this moderated panel discussion with Daniel Foster and learn more about specific initiatives such as the Oceanside Cultural Consortium and the Oceanside Arts Walk starting August 1.
Participating in the conversation will be key arts leaders working in the North County region including Jim Gilliam, Arts Administrator, City of Encinitas; Karen McGuire, Curator of Exhibitions, Cannon Art Gallery, City of Carlsbad; Marilyn Huerta, Community Liaison, Cal State University, San Marcos; and Wendy Wilson, Executive Director, Escondido Arts Partnership. The panel discussion is free for OMA members and $10 for nonmembers.
