In 1966 Maurice Duruflé journeyed from Paris to La Jolla to conduct his Requiem with Madame Duruflé at the organ console. Nearly fifty years later, the St. James Choir and Symphony musicians will once again present this masterpiece from 20th century choral literature. In addition you will hear the most widely performed organ concerto outside those of the Baroque period: the Poulenc Organ Concerto for organ, strings and timpani performed by Dr. Alison Luedecke.
