A talk and discussion by Doris Bittar and Nouha Sinno on Arabic calligraphy.
The PowerPoint segment by Doris Bittar shows how various Middle Eastern artists around the world use Arabic as a pictorial medium for the exploration of space and meaning. Nouha Sinno will discuss her painting's relationship to architecture and her exploratory process that sees Arabic as a space for narrative, design and abstraction. Sinno's exhibit, Lines and Roots: Khoutout Wa Juzoor, has been extended to July 20.
