Ellen Cassedy, author of We Are Here: Memories of the Lithuanian Holocaust, will speak about her work as part of the "Authors at the Astor" series at the Astor Judaica Library and presented by the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture
What had begun as a personal journey broadened into a larger exploration of how the people of Lithuania, Jews and non-Jews alike, are confronting their past in order to move forward into the future. Ellen Cassedy has explored the world of Lithuanian Holocaust for ten years.
This program will commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day and is cosponsored by the UCSD Judaic Studies department.
