The Spaceman of Ocean Beach is the true story of a struggling jazz musician whose routine world turns upside down when he meets a cosmic artist in contact with beings from outer space, OB's Spaceman. Together, these two non-conformists seek the divine through art and music, as they clash with the 1960s establishment, and push the perception of reality, and the boundaries of their friendship, to the point of no return.
The Readers Theater event will feature a blacklight art show and live jazz from the Richard James Quartet and Friends, as well as are paintings by the Spaceman of Ocean Beach.
