Mishka & Anuhea and Micah Brown
Mishka had a unique childhood and extraordinary upbringing. Born to a Bermudian father and Nova Scotian mother, he grew up on his family’s boat, sailing from island to island in the Caribbean. A child of the islands, it was almost inevitable that he’d be drawn to reggae, Rastafari, and the natural mystic that inhabits his music and his soul. Talk About is his fourth album and the second release for Matthew McConaughey’s j.k. livin’ label.
With a delicate balance of fragility, strength and sass, Hawaiian born singer/songwriter Anuhea blends engaging lyrics, acoustic soul, pop, rap and reggae into a style that has earned her a reputation as Hawaii's #1 female artist. Anuhea's signature guitar rhythms, sultry vocals and honest song writing weave acoustic soul, R&B, jazz and hip hop with pop appeal, making Anuhea Hawaii's next rising star.
Micah Brown’s musical roots derive from the rhythm & blues that pumped out of his dad’s boom box while building hot rods in the garage growing up. He spent his adolescence on the baseball diamond or playing drums in various high-school punk rock bands. Now, ever since Micah traded in the wrenches and drumsticks for a guitar and a notebook, his music has been spreading like wildfire, making fans of first-listeners all along the way.
