Martha Barnette, co-host of NPR's "A Way With Words," emcees "auction of unique birdhouses and feeders made by local artists" and others. Bird houses and feeders ranging from "rustic to the fanciful" sold by silent and live auction. Party includes taco bar, drinks, music by the Endangered Speciez Project. Admission is free, though $5 donation is requested. Proceeds benefit Buena Vista Audubon Society. 760-721-2441.
