Festivities include 46th Annual Poway Days Heritage Parade along Poway Road (9am); old-fashioned picnic at Poway Community Park (around 10am); Motorhead Madness classic car show at 13933 Poway Road (10am-2pm); "VFW’s Got Talent" entertainment and barbecue at 12352 Old Pomerado Road ($5 admission).
On September 19, enjoy the Poway Days Festival on Midland Road (10am-5pm); ice cream social and tour of historic chapel at Community Church of Poway (13501 Community Road, noon-2pm). 858-748-0016.
