Who Was Fawzi al-Qawuqji?
9500 Gilman Drive, San Diego, 92093

McGill University professor Laila Parsons focuses on "The Return of Narrative to the Historiography of the Early 20th Century Arab World" in Social Sciences Building room 104. "Using the life story of the Arab-nationalist soldier Fawzi al-Qawuqji as an example," Parsons argues "the historiography of the early 20th-century Arab Middle East can be further enriched by narrative histories and biographies in which the people of the region itself (rather than colonial bureaucrats) serve as the protagonists." 858-822-5297.
