Celebrate writings by Mark Twain and his contemporaries in stories, songs, games, music. Plaza is site for "actors reciting, singers singing, and people playing unique games" such as telegraph crunch, chortle this, traditional outdoor games (quoits, marbles, more). Around the park, take in "Twain for Kids," "Professor Pudd'nhead and Company," "The Literary Garden Party," "The Literary Séance," more. Free.
Write Out Loud presents "Twain Told Tales" in Old Town Theatre starting at 12:30pm. Performance repeats Monday, August 23, 7pm. Tickets: $15 general. 619-297-8953.
