Moog: The Man and the Machine
David Borden — American composer and pioneer of minimalist music on synthesizer, founder of Mother Mallard’s Portable Masterpiece Company — joins curator Tatiana Sizonenko for tour of current Moog exhibition at 1pm. Borden will share his encounters with Robert Moog, contemporary synthesists, electronic music pioneers. Included in regular museum admission.
Borden and performer, composer, arranger Josh Oxford of Ithaca College present "Moog: The Man I Knew and the Machine I Learned" at 7pm. Duo will perform Borden’s seminal compositions for synthesizer including "Easter" (1970).
