Sixth installment of festival commences with concert on September 25 by California E.A.R. Unit. Program includes selections by John Luther Adams, Daniel Wohl, Ryan Brown, Matt McBane, Keer il Makan, Yannis Kyrakides.
Saturday begins with lecture-demonstration "of his innovative guitar techniques and unique approach to creative music making" by Fred Frith (2pm). The Calder Quartet takes stage at 8pm to play selections by composers Daniel Wohl, Charles Punchatz, Ted Hearne, Jason Treuting, and Leos Janacek.
Festival concludes on Sunday when Fred Frith, the Calder Quartet, and California E.A.R. Unit convene at 2pm for program of works by Frith. 760-809-5501.
