La Jolla Friends of the Seals plan event celebrating this season's 46 seal pup births (4 more than last year). Activities include face painting, viewing of creation of papier-mâché seal sculpture by local artist, learning about harbor seals and rookery, souvenir seal coloring books to take home. 619-687-3588.
