Bill Ketchum, a former rocket-propulsion engineer for the Atlas project, discusses the program, as well as its roots in Kearny Mesa. Atlas was a weapon system made up of missiles later converted to an important aerospace program. Ketchum loaned materials to the library for "The Atlas Missile and the U.S. Space Program" exhibit, featuring a scale model of the Atlas, historic photographs of Kearny Mesa. 858-573-1397.
