In February of 1928 The La Paloma Theatre first opened its doors with a screening of one of the First "talkies", what we now call a "movie".
For 80 years, motion pictures, theater and music has had a special place in the beach town of Encinitas, California.
Over the years many name performers have graced the stage of the La Paloma including musical artists as diverse as Eddie Vedder Pearl Jam), Loreena McKennitt, Nickel Creek, Ralph Stanley, Leon Russell and the late Jerry Garcia.
