Tomas Gorny. The Business Trailblazer.

Business leader, CEO, and entrepreneur Tomas Gorny may have earned millions throughout his life thus far, but his journey to the top was anything but typical. As the founder of Nextiva, a platform that has revolutionized business communication and customer experience management, Gorny’s work has placed the company among the leading players, serving over 100,000 businesses worldwide. Throughout his time with Nextiva, the company has garnered many meaningful awards and recognitions, which have served to show its excellence in company culture, customer experience, and innovation. However, the road to success has been filled with hills and valleys that Gorny had to navigate with exceptional tenacity.

Growing up in communist Poland, Gorny was born into financial instability, and a drive to make a life in the United States was fostered at an early age. Upon moving to the U.S., unable to speak English, he initially worked in a multitude of fields, including valet parking and carpet cleaning, while also amassing substantial tech skills and knowledge during the internet’s infancy. By 2001, Gorny co-founded one of the fastest growing web hosting companies in the world, called IPOWER,. The company later merged with Endurance International Group and effectively proved successful for Gorny.

While he’s experienced highs and lows in business, Gorny refused to allow business failures to dishearten him. Instead, he viewed his failures as harsh but needed lessons on understanding and sticking to one’s core competencies. By treating the failures and difficulties of his journey as learning opportunities, Gorny was free to shape a deeper understanding of business, making him much more risk-aware and focused. As he ventured into his next project of building Nextiva, he took his lessons with him and placed a profound importance on the need to be surrounded by the right people. Surrounding himself with skilled, dedicated, and passionate individuals, Gorny ensured that Nextiva would be able to navigate its challenges to the best of its ability, and scaling Nextiva would undoubtedly prove to have plenty.

The business communication and customer experience management sectors are wildly competitive. Building Nextiva in this environment was no small feat. Alongside his team, Gorny had to constantly remain as innovative as possible to ensure the highest-quality technology and build a robust company culture that would set them above the competitors. As Nextiva grew, so did the associated challenges, but through his never-ending determination and sticking to business principles, Gorny could build exceptional trust in the market. Nonstop innovation has helped Gorny foster a culture of invention at Nextiva that ensures the company always stays ahead of market demands. However, it is the importance of principles in business that remains at the forefront of his attention. For Gorny, providing exceptional value and excellent customer experiences are non-negotiables.
