San Diego is Among America's Smartest Cities, CerebrumIQ says

There is a groundbreaking new technology on the market for measuring IQ, and it is helping millions of people not only determine where they stand in the IQ spectrum, but also conducting critical research into many different areas related to intelligence and its various manifestations.

One of the study types that CerebrumIQ is conducting is on the average IQ levels of people in different places. It recently determined that San Diego is among America’s smartest cities. Let’s take a closer look.

Center of research and industry

While many people associate San Diego primarily with its world-famous zoo, there’s a lot more to Southern California’s southernmost city than this. In fact, it is the center of many different critical industries. Among other things, General Atomics is located there. General Atomics is a top-level energy and defense corporation that conducts research into nuclear physics fusion, among other things. The company employs almost 10,000 people.

Also located in San Diego are several major biotech companies. These companies do research on such things as the human genome, which is one of the most important developments in biotech being done anywhere.

Transportation and logistics are also big industries in the area. Cubic Corporation is a major logistics and defense corporation, employing up to 10,000 people. And aerospace is also a big industry in the city.

Beyond this, you’ve got companies such as Qualcomm, which creates semiconductors, software, and wireless technology. And healthcare has a corporate presence in the city, as well. So you can see how these company employees give the city a bright future.

Education and recreation

San Diego has an above average school system. The city ranks highly both in terms of standard academic indicators, and also test scores and things like equity among students.

And the city’s educational prowess goes beyond the school level. San Diego State University is highly ranked, and the academic atmosphere extends well beyond the classroom. San Diego residents are encouraged to attend public lectures, hang out in cafes alongside professors, and take part in other enriching activities. Some of the university’s classes are even open to be audited by members of the community. This gives them exposure to some of the academic riches being offered by the university’s leading professors.

The city offers many different recreational opportunities, so kids are encouraged to grow in multiple different areas. And there is a very low crime rate, so education and growth are not hampered by negative outside factors.

Beyond this, along with quality school systems go quality neighborhoods in general. Neighbors are friendly towards one another, they encourage positive interaction among their kids, and they create an atmosphere that fosters growth. Many big cities cannot say this because urban crime becomes too big of a problem.

CerebrumIQ

Despite all of this, there are a number of cities that have similar characteristics. How is it that the developers at CerebrumIQ were able to determine IQ levels for San Diego residents in particular?

The secret lies in Cerebrum’s specific methodology. Test designers came up with a brilliant system of testing that goes beyond standard questions and gets at the heart of what human intelligence is all about. When you take the IQ test online, you will be asked to answer a series of multiple choice questions involving pictorial puzzles. The questions become increasingly difficult as the test goes on.

CerebrumIQ can be taken by anyone, anywhere in the world. You can be a native English speaker in San Diego, or a native Mandarin speaker in rural China and the test will be the same.

If you’re not satisfied with the results of your first test, you then have the opportunity to work on individual skills. The beauty of CerebrumIQ is that it isolates different cognitive skills and provides test takers with ways of developing each of them separately. Exercises and games are fun and entertaining, and you can do them whenever you want on your own schedule. Some test takers have even raved about enjoying the exercises so much that they have made them a part of their daily routines.

When you feel like you’ve developed your skill areas from the exercises, you can take the test again. In fact, you can take it as many times as you want until you are satisfied with your score.
