BusFrom the Court to Coaching: Roman Kislianskii’s Tennis Journey

From age eight, Roman Kislianskii was already deeply immersed in tennis. Despite being initially exposed to a different sport due to his parents' handball coaching background, Roman's heart was captivated by tennis, a passion that would shape his life. A relentless pursuit of tennis knowledge marked his early years, and by his early 20s, he had already established himself as a professional player, ranking among the top 1200 worldwide.

Despite his achievements on the court, Roman had many difficulties. He turned to coaching because he could not afford the resources needed to continue as a competitive tennis player. Eager to assist others in doing what he was unable to, Roman sought a degree in Physical Education with a focus on Sport and Tourism. His educational background and practical coaching expertise formed the basis for his prosperous coaching career.

Roman's most notable coaching triumph was his work with Yulia Putintseva. Under his guidance, Yulia's career skyrocketed, propelling her to the top 50 players in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) within five years. Yulia's journey, marked by her impressive achievements as a two-time Grand Slam quarterfinalist in 2016 (France) and 2018 (New York), was a testament to Roman's innovative training methods and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Roman's proficiency and commitment have not gone unappreciated. He is recognized as one of the world's top tennis coaches since he has earned the esteemed Gold-Level Registered Coach Status. This honor is only given to those who have proven very skilled and successful in developing athletes with high-performance levels.
