Beginning around 2013, Shyrehl Joseph Wesley, aka Wesside Rehl, began self-releasing amateur hip-hop singles and videos such as "Kept It Real," "Blood in the Rain," "Back Then," and "El Chapo," as well as recording with others like the T.Oak$ & Devin Majors track "Birthday." His music career was interrupted when he was arrested in 2014, at the age of 18, and convicted for armed robbery.
After his release from prison, in 2017, he was arrested again and charged with an associate for the murder of D'Angelo Maurice Charon, 21, whose body was found on the side of a road in San Diego’s North County early the morning of July 12, 2017. The shirtless, bloody man was found in the 29000 block of Twin Oaks Valley Road, in a rural part of Vista, about a mile from the 15 freeway.
